Which by the way is less resource intensive than the original PoS client. With many level 100s, 9 years expertise in making gold, 10 garrisons, 16k achievements, 1505 days played, and over 18m gold earned. You could say that about 90% of the software we use. . Curse is bought and payed for by Twitch there by Amazon. I really don't see the problem with that.

I am really sick and tired of software that feels the need to integrate social platforms in every nook and cranny. You absolutely don't have to touch any of the the other features of the app. Just how lazy can you be? I launch it before starting up wow in the evening, close it again and am done with it. It's also bloating the client up because we are forced to install stuff we don't need. That quite literally is pushing things on us, since we can no longer opt out of those we have no use for. You already got a choice, manually download it. If i wanted to use Twitch or anything to do with Twitch i would have downloaded it.

Curse Client also keeps your addons up to date since it is easily tracking when your addons needs to be updated. The curse client has actually taken some inspiration from stolen some ideas from Minion, which I have used myself too. I simply want to update my addons and nothing else. New software should make things easier, not harder. It should work as i used it on my old hard drive just like 5 days ago.

They said they would be phasing out the old client, if that is still the case. About the Author The Gold Queen is written by Alyzande. Give me the option to have nothing to do whatsoever with Twitch please thank you. I'd be fine if they made it modular and let you use everything from a single interface. Which sucks if you just want a program to update addons. But it's free, does not do anything harmful and provides a valuable service, namely updating all those addons except for elvui which have their own crashy tool. But that's just my personal opinion. It's also bloating the client up because we are forced to install stuff we don't need. No, i do not think it's cheap to host a free service. I tried the legacy client, it worked for a little, but then the Twitch manure came back up, so had to uninstall. Also the new one used twice as much memory when running then the old one, so I guess it depends on your system.

So, i just installed windows + Wow for new hard drive. I simply want to update my addons and nothing else. You could have primary method set to release and dbm still set to alpha. And it's by definition not bloatware because it's one single product. So yes, the client contains a lot of stuff i don't need or want. Others may like it of course and that's fine but I rather have a simple program that just updates the addons and doesn't have all the social aspects it wants to do now.

These messages contain the name and health of the boss as well as the raid's status. Not a fan of the new client, not interested in Twitch or somehow having to share contacts from all over the place. But here i have to install a whole host of pointless nonsense just to get the one function i actually use. I do not want nor need it. Not some forced updated version with twitch features included.

Others may like it of course and that's fine but I rather have a simple program that just updates the addons and doesn't have all the social aspects it wants to do now. Not a fan of the way that you can't really close the app down unless you go into task manager now and kill the process either. The old client is very outdated and even if it still works, sooner or later it most likely wont. Memory usage is a poor metric, more so if you leave it running all the time when that is completely unnecessary when only using it for updating addons. Try to get the legacy curse client from the wotlk days, if its still available somewhere. So you refuse to use the service provided to you. And continue believing what ever you want.
